Snow Day!

I went to bed last night thinking if I wished and prayed hard enough, maybe the weather forecast would be wrong and we wouldn't be getting 2-6 inches of new snow this morning.  I really wanted to go riding and use my new GPS.  My wishes were not granted, and I woke to a bitterly cold and windy snow day.  Snow fell most of the morning and through the early afternoon, and when it started to slow down mid-afternoon, I pulled on my boots and hat and grabbed my camera and dashed out the door.

I figured a little running in the arena would do Jasper some good, and dragged him across the snowy pasture while snow sifted into my boots and dampened my jeans.  Mostly, though, my motivation was selfish and I desperately wanted to recreate the scene from the other day so I could have pictures.  I pulled off Jasper's slushy blanket (dry underneath) and threw it on the fence, unhooked his lead rope and watched as he started to run for the joy of running.  This time, I got pictures. :)
